You will be greeted at the door, offered to help yourself to a cup of coffee or tea and at 10:30am people start to sit down in the sanctuary. The children aged 3 to grade 5 join us for worship, then are dismissed for kids church during announcements. Then there is some teaching from the bible and how it affects our lives. After the service, people visit and drink some more coffee or tea. What will happen the first time I visit? You will be greeted, people will talk to you and welcome you, but we do not try to embarrass or point out visitors. What should I wear? At South, there is no dress code. Wear what you feel comfortable in. We value authenticity and would rather you be yourself. What would be your culture or flavour? South is a pretty casual church that values people being themselves. There is lots of energy with the amount of children at the church, and we want everyone from the youngest to the oldest to feel at home at South.

Generosity We know that habits shape who we are. That is why, as a community, we are focusing on developing habits that will transform us to become more and more like Jesus. One habit that you do not often hear about is generosity. This is unfortunate because when we are generous it shapes us in such a positive way. The language we use at South is, "are you open handed or close fisted". When you are opened handed you recognize that your life and everything you have is Gods so you hold on to it loosely. When you are closed fisted, your things and your life are yours so you hold on to them tightly. When we are open handed we get to see God work through us and our resources. We are partnering with God as He accomplishes His mission. Prayer Gathering Someone once said, "I do not think we will realize how important prayer is until we get to heaven, and then we will probably wish we prayed more". ​ We believe that prayer needs to be the oxygen of the church.
